Jose Gutierrez

As Head of Network, Jose Gutierrez leads Healthier Capital’s engagement and network relationships with healthcare ecosystem partners–including with health systems, health plans, life science companies, technology organizations and others–helping plug portfolio companies in with potential clients and partners.

Jose brings significant experience in healthcare operations, strategy, finance, go-to-market, and technology. He most recently served as the VP of Operations, Performance Excellence, and Access at Amazon | One Medical.

Jose previously served as an operations leader at UnitedHealth Group’s Optum division. At Optum, Jose was engaged in helping lead medical group acquisition integrations in the OptumHealth division, and also helping lead revenue cycle process improvement efforts in the Optum360 division. Jose also previously served as a leader and team member in operations improvement at Stanford Health Care and at UCLA Health.

Jose holds MBA and MHSA degrees from the University of Michigan, where he also served as Administrative Fellow at the Michigan Medicine Cardiovascular Center during his studies. He also holds BA degrees in Political Science and Spanish Literature from the University of California, Los Angeles.
