Aman Mahajan

Aman Mahajan, MD, PhD, MBA has served at the forefront of healthcare innovation, technology, and clinical care transformation throughout his career. He is an inventor and founder of health technology and digital health platforms, and is an internationally recognized physician-scientist and clinical leader. Serving as a Partner at Healthier Capital, Aman brings tremendous insights at the intersection of healthcare and technology innovation.

Aman previously served as a senior executive at University of Pittsburg Medical Center (UMPC)—a leading integrated healthcare organization with over 40 hospitals, an aligned health plan, and a commercialization enterprise arm. As UPMC’s SVP of Health Innovation, Aman guided organizational innovation, commercialization, and venture investments. Aman also served as the Peter Safar Endowed Chair, Department of Anesthesiology & Perioperative Medicine, and as Executive Director of UPMC Perioperative Services and Co-Chair Surgical Service Line. He also held professorships in Medicine, Biomedical Informatics and Bioengineering. Aman previously served as the endowed professor and Chair of the Department of Anesthesiology at UCLA Health and Executive Director, Perioperative Services. He also served as faculty in the Anderson UCLA School of Management, where he led the MBA “Business of Healthcare” course. Aman has been appointed to councils and boards of leading international scientific societies and journals. His research in novel healthcare technologies has been funded by multiple NIH awards and he has over 200 publications. Aman received his medical specialty training in anesthesiology and cardiac fellowship, as well as his PhD, at UCLA. He has extensive experience in data sciences and informatics, and also holds an MBA degree from the University of Massachusetts.
